The Canadian Aboriginal Venture Group (CAVG) works with Aboriginal peoples, the corporate sector and other government partners to promote Aboriginal business development and encourage Aboriginal partnerships with the corporate sector that can create long-term jobs and economic opportunities for Aboriginal people.
CAVG recognizes that Aboriginal people are seeking opportunities to participate in Canada’s economy in order to become self-reliant—on their own terms. CAVG participates with Aboriginal leaders, Government and corporate entities to increase Aboriginal participation in the economy. Our objectives are to maximize economic and social development as well as to help provide higher employment in as many Aboriginal communities as possible.
CAVG works with Aboriginal communities, organizations and individuals so these become more self-reliant thereby improving the socio-economic well–being of Aboriginal people generally. Our network for Economic Development includes the following areas of specialty:
